Future Of North End GameStop Has Been Determined

Sadly, we have lost one of my favorite stores  in town 

We all kept our fingers crossed last January when GameStop, a national chain, announced its plans to close 400 stores across the country - it appeared at the time that our two stores here in Bismarck were safe:

 GameStop - 1410 Skyline Blvd on the North End, and Kirkwood Mall were the two locations here in Bismarck 

I will be the first to admit that. For it doesn't matter how old or young you are, playing video games is entertaining and relaxing. For years I have gone to GameStop:

According to gamestop.com "the world's largest retail gaming and trade-in destination for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo games, systems, consoles & accessories." So when I started reading some comments on the Bismarck People Reporting News Facebook page yesterday, my heart sank. People were asking if the North End GameStop closed its doors for good.

I actually drove to Kirkwood Mall this morning and, with a sigh of relief, walked into the GameStop store - asked the employee there about their other location, and was sadly given the bad news. "Last month, on the 16th of May, was the last day."

Came to an unexpected turn of events, and WE ( Bismarck and Mandan ) are down to just one GameStop store. I will support them the best I know how.
