Will We See ( And Feel ) Record Heat In Bismarck This Weekend?
So I'm well aware of the temps soaring across the country
Just recently, I saw temps in the 100s in Boston, where my sister lives. I thought to myself, well, it has been warm lately, but I'll take the occasional 90 degrees here and there, but that's it. I do know how hot it can be out here, and for me, the worst part is the humidity. So we got past the 4th of July weekend, and the next thing you know, I woke up to this pleasant sight on my phone:
Immediately, I said to myself "Uh oh, it's coming." -
This was just a couple of days ago that I saw the above forecast, and I thought, well surely it won't be THAT hot. Today is Thursday afternoon; let me take another peek at my weather app:
This was just minutes ago, and NOW I'm wondering as we all get ready to hug our air conditioners for 3 or 4 days straight, could this possibly set an all-time record high temperature-wise for this weekend? So what would your guess be for how the record is for June 11?
I would have guessed easily somewhere around 100-104 degrees
Well,l I was close, According to www.extremeweatherwatch.com "For the date of Jul 11, the highest temperature ever reached in Bismarck history is 109 °F which happened in 1973"
The forecast for THIS weekend in Bismarck' July 11-July 12th is:
"Warming temperatures are forecast to bring highs well into the upper 90s and even the lower 100s this weekend"
I'm pretty much not leaving my air conditioner all weekend.
