Something NEW is Going Into the Huckleberry House

The Huckleberry House restaurant closed late last year and was located at 1700 River Road in Bismarck. This was a very popular dining spot with a beautiful view of the Missouri River, with a patio, and it served as the terminal for the Lewis and Clark Riverboat.

Some of the popular dishes at the Huckleberry House included Nordic-inspired comfort food like Scandinavian meatballs. They were also known for their knoephla soup, fleischkuechle, and kuchen. The restaurant had a very high rating online with a 4.0 out of 5. It was also a popular place for workplace gatherings like Christmas parties.

Before the Huckleberry House

You might remember that before the Huckleberry House was built in that location, there was another restaurant/building called Captain Meriwether's Restaurant, which closed on September 5th, 2009, and that building was later destroyed by flooding in 2011.

A New Chapter-Same Building

One of my favorite restaurants in the Bismarck-Mandan area is The Paddle Trap. That is why I'm very excited for this next chapter.

Introducing The Landing Restaurant & Bar

As I mentioned earlier, the same owners as The Paddle Trap, Venue Twenty5, The Post, Shakers on 3rd, Sixteen03, and 5th Underground are behind this new venture. No word on when The Landing Restaurant & Bar will officially open, but I, for one, am very excited to check it out. We wish this group the best of luck with this waterfront restaurant.
